# DataAnalytics_Geostatistics
Short course on data analytics, geostatistics and machine learning for spatial modeling.

#### Course Objectives:

You will gain:
* knowledge concerning data analytics, geostatistics and machine learning for subsurface modeling.

#### Course Agenda
* Introduction: objectives, plan
* Fundamentals - subsurface modeling goals and approaches
* Probability – frequentist and Bayesian concepts
* Data Preparation - data bias and uncertainty modeling
* Spatial Continuity – stationarity, variogram calculatio
* Spatial Estimation – trend modeling, kriging estimation and uncertainty   
* Multivariate Analysis – correlation, marginal, conditional and joint
* Uncertainty Modeling - concepts and methods            
* Statistical Learning – training and testing, model bias and variance                            
* Feature Selection – curse of dimensionality, over fit and ranking                                                       
* Conclusion – summary, lessons learned, discussion
