That is, written instructions for carrying out manual tests of GNOME applications. The tests are divided into the following subdirectories: components - tests for standard GNOME 2.0 Applications and Applets interoperability - tests for CDE/Java/GNOME exercising GTK+ text widget functionality performance - tests to measure the performance (elapsed time) of GNOME automated-test-assertions - automated test scripts of manual test assertions generated using GERD gnome-2.0-test-results - directory repository to save the results of manual test assertions executed on Solaris/Linux platforms. Removable-Media-Manager - Directory which has all RMM(removeable media manager) related assertions. accessibility - Directory which has all accessibility related assertions. These assertions tests fonts, mouse, themes, keyboard and common-principles of all GNOME components. gnome-test-tool - Stale directory for GERD(or GTT). Actual source is available in one directory above. multihead - Directory which has the assertions for testing the multihead functionality of GNOME components. removeable-media-manager - Stale directory of RMM assertions. sanity-test-tool - Directory to hold all sanity scripts. Sanity scripts are used to install GNOME packages prepared by Sun. scripts - Scripts used for generating test assertion index, toc files. xinerama - Directory which has the assertions for testing the xinerama functionality of GNOME components. The tests are all in HTML format, and are intended to be viewed by a frames-compatible browser. The test results are also intended to be recorded on-line with the included CGI script. Usage ===== To begin viewing the test specs, point your browser to the location where you installed the "gnome_test" directory, eg "http://my.domain.com/gnome_test/".
